what i've actually built

Five things, and each one names what it cost to learn, because a list of projects without that is just a list. Then a short bit about who is doing it.

01 · Kova

fresh protein ice cream

Founded August 2025. 30g of protein and 200 calories in a single-serve cup. I make the product, design the brand, build the Shopify storefront in Liquid, run the deliveries, and keep the books.

Nearly 100 pop-ups across LA gyms and studios. 1,030 units sold, one wholesale account opened from cold outreach, and a price ladder I still defend.

What it taught me: a stranger gives you ten seconds and a reason to say no. Selling face to face is the fastest product feedback loop there is, and it is unsentimental.

the automation layer

AI agents wired into six live business systems — Shopify, Xero, Square, Notion, Gmail and Cloudflare — with tested safety hooks that stop a bad deploy reaching a live storefront or a destructive git command running. 73 passing tests.

Traffic-aware delivery routing, including a binary search for the latest safe departure time.

What it taught me: I found three production bugs in those hooks by probing them with crafted payloads. Reading the code said they were fine. That is the whole lesson — a guard you have not attacked is a guard you are guessing about.

03 · masa

studio work

Web, content and automation builds for small businesses, plus a second brand serving architecture and design firms on a shared engine. Sites on Eleventy and Cloudflare Pages, self-hosted type, structured data.

What it taught me: pricing is a positioning decision, not a maths one. The model is benchmarked against the market rather than against what I used to charge.

04 · Film & camera

five years of production

B.A. in Cinema and Media Studies, USC — with film coursework at Syracuse, 2018–2020. Director of Inherited in 2020: an 18-person crew and a $2,000 budget, at twenty.

Freelance videographer and photographer for Latino music events across LA venues, 2022–2024, delivering to clients inside 72 hours. Creative Development Intern at Winterlight Pictures, where I built an Airtable database tracking trending creators and wrote script coverage used in development decisions.

Creative Director on ¿Y La Novia? by Mykael, 2021–2024 — eight tracks produced, and pitches to Chartmetric and SubmitHub curators to grow streaming traffic.

What it taught me: a deadline with a crew attached is a different kind of deadline. Videography is still the thing I am fastest at.

05 · Kova Live

building it with the door open

A standing Wednesday livestream where the work happens on camera — the storefront, the automation, the business decisions, as they are actually made rather than after they have been tidied up.

What it taught me: the production rig is its own engineering problem. Scene routing, audio track separation, and a capture-safety layer that keeps anything private off the broadcast.

Off the clock

what i'm into when nobody's paying me

I play video games, and I study livestreaming as a format rather than as something to watch. That is why Kova Live runs once a week instead of five times, and why it opens without a "starting soon" screen.

I speak English and Spanish.

AI operations, solutions, or internal tooling — work where the job is turning a messy process into a system that holds. Remote, or close to Los Angeles. English and Spanish.
